Steam Plant Decentralization – Naval Station Norfolk

In an effort to reduce energy use, the US Navy converted from steam to natural gas heating for facilities in the SP and V areas of Naval Station Norfolk. AIM was contracted to provide hazardous materials abatement services in support of the conversion and then to demolish 29,000 linear feet of above ground steam line and associated supports and wells.
